Rhopoint Instruments
Founded in 1988 as a manufacturer of gloss meters, Rhopoint Instruments have established themselves as a leading UK-based designer and manufacturer of appearance instruments. Used in industries such as automotive, consumer electronics, and paints and coatings, their range has grown to analyse other parameters of total surface quality including shade and opacity, haze, and DOI (Distinctness Of Image).
In 2006, Rhopoint acquired the Hanatek range of packaging test equipment such as the Carton Force Analyser and Compact Coefficient of Friction Tester to fulfil the testing needs of the packaging industry. Alex Leeson (AML’s Managing Director) was previously head engineer at Hanatek for five years and has used his technical expertise to establish AML Instruments as a premium distributor and service centre for Rhopoint Instruments.
