Single Column Tensile Tester - German Manufactured | Low Prices

Single Column Tensile Tester / Universal Testing Machine

Single Column Tensile Tester / Universal Testing Machine

Manufactured by GRIP Engineering

Engineered in Germany to the highest standards, this single column tensile tester machine includes powerful and easy to use software for thorough analysis in research and development, and quality control applications.

They’re often called Universal Testing Machines (UTMs) because of their versatility to perform thousands of different materials tests, including compression, fatigue, peel, shear, torque, and tensile testing.

This single-column model is fantastic for low-force applications and saves bench and floor space thanks to its compact design. Even better, it’s also favourably priced when compared to similar machines from the likes of Instron, Lloyds Instruments, Testometeric, Zwick Roell, and Tinius Olsen, without compromising on quality, functionality, or accuracy.

Needing grips and fixtures? AML supplies an enormous range of UTM testing fixtures and fittings (over 3000 standard) enabling the testing frame to be setup and adapted for many different types of tests. We also have the ability to design bespoke fixtures.

Benefits

  • Most tensile testers can be delivered and installed in under a week.
  • Easily perform the following types of test: Bend (3 point and 4 point), compression, constant force, cyclitic, friction (COF), peel, shear, and tensile.
  • Microprocessor control for use as a standalone instrument or with software via USB.
  • Two year warranty (extendable to three years).
  • Aluminium and stainless steel construction with high mechanical stiffness.
  • Cross-head speed as standard 0.025 — 700mm, greater range possible as an option.
  • Load cell resolution better than 1 part in 100,000.
  • Grade 0.5 load cells to all international standards including ISO 7500-1. ASTM E4, and JISB7721.
  • Load Cell data sample rate 50 to 2000 Hz.
  • Larger twin column tensile testers available (10 kN to 200 kN).
  • Tensile tester calibration and repair service available.

Super Software

The material testing software is supplied as standard, completely customisable, and LICENCE FREE with no expensive software agreements. AML Instruments have undertaken complex projects for a number of clients and have a certified LabVIEW software engineer who can design and build fully automated test rigs.

Other advantages of the software include:

  • Large real-time numeric displays.

  • Live Load, Peak Load, Live Stress and Peak Stress.
  • Position, Position Rate, Peak Position, Live Strain and Peak Strain.
  • Modulus calculations.
  • Yield calculations.
  • Monotonic and cyclitic test profiles.
  • Multiple specimen geometries and calculations.
  • Exports reports / results to PDF, Excel, or as a text file.
  • Position resolution 0.001mm.
  • English, Metric, and SI units.
  • Operational Modes:
    • Tension
    • Compression
    • Constant speed regulation
    • Constant force regulation
    • Hysteresis (Cyclitic)
    • Peel.
  • Higher speed/resolution available as an option.
