On Site Calibration Services

Onsite calibration is on the rise, and for good reason. AML Instrument’s onsite calibration services enables our specialist calibration engineers to come to you, meaning your test instruments are calibrated quickly, efficiently, and within their usual operating environment.

Supported by our in-house laboratory just outside Lincoln, Lincolnshire, our on-site calibration team travel all over the UK (and beyond) to calibrate a wide range of instrument types, makes, and models, including laboratory ovens, multimeters, tensile testers, and torque wrenches.

AML’s extensive offering of mobile calibration services are traceable to National Standards, with UKAS accredited calibrations available for temperature measuring equipment and balances and scales.

We understand the impact of operational downtime and potential loss of revenue, especially if your test equipment is time or process-critical. Save yourself the worry of scrambling for spare equipment or working out a way to safely ship a large amount of test equipment by booking one of our expert technicians to perform calibration at your location.

Is onsite calibration right for me?

AML’s on-site instrument calibration ticks all the boxes if you’re after a convenient service with the least amount of disruption and risk. While our off-site laboratory testing is just as efficient in its own right and sometimes more cost-effective, your test instrumentation is typically best left where it is if:

  • You need minimal interruptions to your everyday operations, immediate support, and same-day results (in comparison, our offsite calibration service has a standard turnaround time of five working days).
  • Your test instruments needing to be calibrated as part of an overall system, such as pressure transmitters.
  • You have large, fixed, sensitive instruments which are sensitive to movement and different environmental conditions, or difficult to move and/or ship.
  • You don’t have access to spare assets on site to maintain operation and production, but need to get back up-and-running immediately after calibration.
  • You own high-value test equipment that’s too risky to ship to our lab in Lincolnshire.

How does our on-site calibration process work?

AML pride ourselves on delivering a straightforward and hassle-free on-site calibration service, ensuring your equipment is calibrated with minimal disruption to your operations.

  1. Schedule a visit: Call us. Email us. Or even speak to a member of our team on LiveChat, so we can sort out a suitable date and time for one of our certified technicians to travel to your premises and calibrate your stuff.
  2. Preparation and Final Checks: We’ll double-check your test equipment details, calibration scope, and confirm adherence to specific standards. We’ll also tie-up any loose ends and operational restraints prior to the visit. For example, safety protocols, site accessibility, conditions that could affect calibration results, etc.
  3. Setup: Our engineer will arrive on-site and set up their equipment, ensuring a controlled environment for calibration.
  4. Expert calibration: Precision testing and adjusting of each instrument to meet required accuracy and compliance.
  5. Detailed calibration report: Our engineer will issue you with detailed calibration certificates there and then. Information provided will include the procedures performed, results obtained, and any adjustment or maintenance recommendations.
