From digital thermometers to thermocouples and temperature probes, temperature measuring devices are vital for many industries, such as construction, healthcare, manufacturing, food processing, and pharmaceuticals. However, achieving precise and reliable measurements is only possible with regular temperature calibrations. AML Instruments are UKAS accredited for temperature and provide a vast range of temperature calibration services, ideal for anything from a single digital thermometer to entire industrial plants with 1000’s of temperature or process control instruments. This includes single or multiple temperature calibration and positions. Temperature survey or temperature mapping with detailed reports and graphs are also available. Whether our highly trained engineers attend your business premises on pre-arranged dates or you send your temperature testing equipment to our in-house laboratory, we’ll always turn up the heat to provide fast turnarounds. Please see further down the page for the types of UKAS-accredited and non-UKAS accredited temperature calibrations we carry out.

Temperature calibration is performed by comparing a temperature value, read by a temperature measuring tool under test with another piece of equipment that meets temperature calibrations standards and referenced to a known set of parameters.
The referenced equipment is a high-precision instrument which is checked regularly by an accredited UKAS laboratory. By reading the difference between what the temperature device measures and what the reference measures, you can calculate whether the temperature device has measured correctly and how close to the true value it has measured.
As soon as the tested device measures the temperature within the specification, the result is documented in a traceable temperature calibration certificate.
Our temperature calibration services reach out nationwide and beyond, so our strategically placed engineers are never far away to come to your business and calibrate your temperature testing equipment.
All of our engineers bring vast experience and knowledge of the temperature calibration process, helping you maintain accuracy, compliance, efficiency, and quality when measuring temperature.
Along with our company UKAS accreditation, you’ll have peace of mind knowing we perform our work to the highest possible temperature calibration standards for all customers, regardless of your industry.
Our in-house laboratory in Lincolnshire caters for temperature calibrations outside those that can be attended on-site. Simply send us your equipment and we’ll get it calibrated and returned safely via UPS.
The standard turnaround time for off-site calibrations is five working days, but can be reduced to 24/48 hours by prior agreement.
Got time to burn? Why not bring your temperature testing items to our premises and we’ll calibrate it to the required temperature calibration standard while you sit and wait with a cuppa. The time needed for calibrating the temperature of your equipment will depend on the device(s) being calibrated and the method used.
Please note this service requires pre-booking, so please contact us beforehand, so we can check we have the necessary time and resources available.
Companies should prioritise regular calibration of their temperature measurement equipment to optimise their operations and maintain high standards of quality and safety. Here are five reasons why temperature calibration of your instruments need to be at the forefront of your business plan:
