Available Onsite & Offsite
Absorption, refraction, and reflection are all examples of optical properties. They describe how a material interacts with light, providing valuable information about its composition, structure, and electronic characteristics.
Optical measuring instruments such as gloss meters and haze meters are integral to a variety of high-precision industries for measuring a material’s optical properties.
Car manufacturer needing your optical micrometers calibrated for quality control of your engine pistons? Rely on opacity meters to determine the coverage and uniformity of your paint applications? You’ve come to the right place as our experienced engineers can calibrate a wide test instruments measuring optical properties.
All optical calibrations carried out by AML Instruments are traceable to national standards, with both onsite and offsite options available.
Let us help you
We’re happy to come to you, or you can send your barcode verifiers and other optical property testing tools to our laboratory in Lincolnshire. Take a closer look at our options below.
Us coming to you usually works out cost-effective if you have a few optical instruments or other test equipment we could calibrate at the same time. It also ensures minimal disruption to your operations. We are the only company in the UK offering onsite glossmeter calibration.
All you need to do is give us a call or email and we’ll get a date in the diary for one of our engineers to optimise your optical testing equipment.
If turnaround time isn’t pressing, why not post us your optical measuring instruments? Our standard turnaround for offsite calibrations is five working days, but can be reduced to 24-48 hours by prior agreement. We’ll ensure your calibrated equipment is shipped securely back to you via UPS, complete with tracking details via email on the date of order shipment.
AML Instruments are a full-spectrum, SafeContractor accredited calibration company, meaning our calibration services radiate beyond optical instruments and gloss meters.
All of our factory trained engineers hold IOSH H&S Passports and are highly experienced across many specialists field of calibration, including dimensional, electrical, and temperature. We’re also happy to offer advice and training if required, along with optical instrument repairs should your equipment malfunction.
