Falling Rod Viscometer Laray Viscometer

Falling Rod Viscometer Laray Viscometer

Falling Rod Viscometer Laray Viscometer from Kershaw Instrumentation in the USA

Falling Rod Viscometer is used to measure the viscosity of printing inks.

This unit is designed to measure the time it takes for a precision rod to fall 10 cm. After several “fall times” are measured, the viscosity and yield value of the ink can be calculated by using the optional software or by using your own technique.

This test conforms to ASTM D4040. The basic system consists of the instrument stand, rod and collar, and a 100 gm weight.

Optional Software SAV-09

The SAV-09 integrates the original Falling Rod Visometer technology with user-friendly computer software designed to more accurately test, catologe, store, and formalize test data with the click of a button.

This unique operating system provides the instrument operator with a wide variety of customisation, test parameters and procedures designed specifically to fit the needs of the user.

The software allows for multiple specification algorithims and test methods, along with easily printable data reports and built in test data storage. Working together with your FRV-2000 or Laray style viscometer, this Semi Automatic Viscometer technology offers a great deal of in depth research capabilities both formally and easily.
