The Grams per Square Meter (GSM) testing method is an essential quality control check for determining the weight of paper. The more substantial, and usually thicker, the paper, the higher the GSM is.

This standard measurement is crucial in the printing industry as it fundamentally affects the paper characteristics that determine printing quality. Instruments such as the Circular Sample Cutter or our large range of precision balances are ideal for performing GSM tests.
