Pressure calibration from -1 to 700 bar available onsite and offsite
From calibrating pressure transducers to calibrating pressure gauges and burst testers, AML Instruments are able to calibrate a wide range of pressure and vacuum equipment. Pressure calibrations are typically performed to the requirements of BS EN 837-1 and are traceable to national standards, whether at your laboratory or on your site.
We use high-accuracy Druck & Fluke digital pressure calibration equipment for precise pressure measurement, using nitrogen or air as the pressure media or our Budenberg dead weight pressure calibrator with oil as the standard pressure medium. We can also use this with any other liquid, such as pure water using our liquid to liquid interface.
All our pressure calibration services are completely customisable to your exact requirements — we don’t believe in a one size fits all approach. We also repair and supply new pressure gauges and other pressure instruments.

Calibration of pressure is a fundamental procedure to ensure your pressure testing instruments are producing reliable measurements. This process involves comparing the output of your pressure measuring device against the output reading of a reference standard instrument of higher accuracy.
All pressure calibrations are typically performed to the requirements of BS EN 837-1 and carried out by AML’s trained technicians who all hold IOSH H&S Passports. They use specialised pressure calibration equipment and techniques to calibrate the equipment, ensuring it meets national standards and aligns with the manufacturer’s specifications.
Our experience and qualified engineers are strategically positioned around the UK, enabling us to visit your location to perform calibration directly on your pressure testing tools. If your equipment requires regular calibration, our on-site pressure calibration services ensure minimal disruption to your operations and reduced downtime.
All you need to do is get in touch via our contact page, and we’ll be happy to sort a mutually-convenient date and time to come and calibrate your pressure equipment.
Just like our on-site work, our off-site pressure calibrations are completed to the highest standards and as standard include raising and falling results. Should minor adjustments be required we will complete these too at no additional cost.
We send your calibrated equipment securely back to you via UPS, complete with tracking details via email on the date of order shipment.
Our standard turnaround time for offsite work is five working days, but we can accelerate this to 24-48 hours via prior agreement. Depending on the pressure instrument type, there’s also a “Calibrate While You Wait” option — again, please give us a call beforehand so we can check our resource availability.
Businesses within a 35 mile radius of our in-house laboratory can also opt for our local calibration collection and drop-off service. It’s ideal for busy businesses and offers unmatched convenience for larger shipments.
Pressure calibration offers many advantages, giving you close control over your tests and processes. Like all test instruments, pressure tools can drift from their original specifications over time due to regular wear and tear, environmental factors, and mechanical impacts.
AML Instruments are able to calibrate a wide range of pressure testing equipment. These include:
Please Note: The above list isn’t exhaustive — any pressure testing instrument we are unable to calibrate can be subcontracted to one of our long-time trusted traded partners. For your peace of mind, AML Instruments is a SafeContractor accredited company.
To ensure your pressure measuring devices remain accurate, they need to be calibrated at regular intervals (typically every 12 months). AML Instruments travel around the UK and beyond to ensure the safety and reliability of businesses in industries such as aerospace, packaging, and pharmaceuticals that use pressurised components and equipment.
Let us take the pressure off — we’re just an email or phone call away.
