Benefits

  • Hexagonal stainless steel comb resistant to acids and bases.
  • Six-sided design with graduated teeth gives an early and accurate indication of the quality of the coating application, ensuring uniformity and control in painting processes.
  • Covers a range from 20 to 2000 microns, adapting to different types of coatings.
  • Suitable for water-based paints, solvent-based paints, varnishes, enamels and industrial coatings.
  • Prevents excess or insufficient product during application.
  • Reduces costs and rework caused by application errors.
  • Allows estimation of the final dry film thickness by knowing the coating’s solids content.
  • Complies with many international standards, including UNE 4803-80 and ISO 2808-7B.
  • Can be supplied with a calibration and traceability certificate in accordance with international standards.

How To Take A Measurement Using The WG Wet Film Coating Thickness Gauge

  1. Insert the comb perpendicularly into the applied paint, using the measuring range corresponding to the expected
    coating thickness.
  2. Remove the comb from the coating
  3. The wet film thickness will be between the gap of the shortest tooth that is wet and the gap of the next dry tooth.
