KN-10 Pull Off Adhesion Tester

Price range: £1,881.81 through £2,113.63

Manufactured by Neurtek

This digital pull-off adhesion tester is available in two different configurations to accurately measure the adhesion of either paints and coatings, or construction materials. It has a measuring range of (0.05 kN to 10 kN), ensuring reliable results both in the lab and on-site.

It uses the pull-off adhesion method to accurately evaluate the force required to detach a dolly bonded to the surface, providing reliable, repeatable, and standard-compliant results.

Optional dollies (20mm and 500mm diameters) are available, which provide a standardised surface to securely bond the coating to the tester, helping prevent skewed results.

Benefits

  • Suitable for laboratories and on-site environments.
  • Digital display with clear adhesion value reading.
  • Automatic calibration via microprocessor.
  • Complies with international and national standards (See Specification for details).
  • Includes SER-CT013 traceability certificate.

How Does The Pull-Off Adhesion Test Work?

  1. A dolly is bonded to the surface to be tested.
  2. A circular cut is made to isolate it from the surrounding coating.
  3. The KN-10 tester is placed on the dolly.
  4. By turning a wheel, progressive force is applied until detachment occurs.
  5. The digital display shows the exact force applied at the moment of separation.

This procedure allows adhesion to be checked with high precision, eliminating human error and facilitating the evaluation of coatings in laboratories and on site.

Suitable Applications & Materials

The KN-10 portable pull-off adhesion tester can be applied to paints, coatings, plasters, mortars, ceramic tiles, and other construction materials for a wide range of applications.

These include:

  • Ceramic tiles and wall tiles.
  • Evaluation of pretreatments and surface cleaning.
  • Interior plasters and stone-based finishes.
  • Paints and façade coatings.
  • Validation of products and methods prior to final application.
