Specialist calibration, repair, and test equipment supplier AML Instruments has strengthened its team with the appointment of Tony Sharp as sales administrator.
Tony brings more than 30 years of experience in the automotive industry to his new role, having worked across a wide range of departments during his career.
Most recently, Tony spent 16 years with JCT600, one of the UK’s best-known motor groups. His extensive automotive career also included an international chapter in Oman in the Middle East, where he worked as a General Sales Manager for a Mitsubishi dealership — an experience Tony describes as an amazing opportunity.
In his new role at AML Instruments, Tony is already playing an important part in supporting the company’s customers and sales operations. His key responsibilities include handling customer enquiries, preparing and following up quotations, processing orders, maintaining customer records, and providing day-to-day administrative support to the sales team.
He also help ensure customers receive a responsive and efficient service throughout their dealings with AML, whether they require new test equipment or support with the calibration and repair of existing equipment.
Tony’s considerable customer-facing and sales experience is already proving valuable. His ability to build relationships, communicate with customers, and keep enquiries moving efficiently through the business is making a positive impact, while he continues to develop his knowledge of AML’s specialist products and services.

Away from work, Tony enjoys spending time with his wife Karen, daughters Lauren and Kelly, and grandchildren Jacon and Eloise. Completing the family is Ronnie, his “mad” Working Cocker Spaniel.
Tony is also a keen golfer and pool player, although he admits much of his spare time is now happily divided between his family and walks with Ronnie.
