TQC Sheen Digital Rotothinner Viscometer™ DV2700

TQC Sheen Digital Rotothinner Viscometer™ DV2700

Manufactured by TQC Sheen

Developed by TQC Sheen, this industry-leading Rotothinner viscometer  provides time-controlled viscosity measurement of paint, coatings and inks in P or cP units.

It is highly accurate and simple to use in a research setting or within a production facility, offering flexibility to give you complete control during the viscosity reduction process.

Benefits

  • Automatically take readings with a set time interval, giving you insightful data relating to shear performance and stability analysis.
  • Continuous reading gives highly reproducible results.
  • Freeze the reading so it can be noted more easily.
  • Easily monitor a sample material’s viscosity during the addition of solvents and thinners to create supply or RFU viscosity.
  • Superb stable drive system creates a wider measurement range and more accurate readings compared to competitors. Accuracy is also enhanced by the automatic multi-point calibration.
  • Equipped with a digital display and an user-friendly interface.
  • Easy-to-use manual and automatic operation.
  • Microprocessor-controlled for accuracy and repeatability.
  • Max hold function shows the maximum reading.
  • Easy to clean and maintain.
  • ‘Spin off’ and retain the sample material after taking your readings.
  • Use the quick release chuck to swap spindles effortlessly.
  • Carry out viscosity testing to the most stringent of international standards, including BS 3900-A7 and ISO 2884-2.
  • Three separate modes: manual, maxhold, and timed.
  • Level adapter set (1/2 pint, 1 pint) included.
  • Calibration certificate, handle, 240V/110V power adaptor, and user manual included.

How does the Sheen Rotothinner work?

It’s a simple enough process to generate a highly accurate fluid viscosity measurement using our Rotothinner viscometer

First up you fill a container with sample fluid which is positioned on a magnetic ring mounted on top of the base.

Next you submerse the spindle in the sample fluid by lowering the handle. At the lowest point the spindle starts rotating with a set constant speed.

The display quickly and easily shows the actual fluid viscosity measurement in poise.  If you need a measurement from a more structured material then it takes a little longer as the spindle applies shear. This influences the reading and it’s the reason for the reading presets the Sheen Rotothinner offers.
