Inclined Plane Friction Tester / Inclined Plane COF Tester

Different sleds are available for compliance with ASTM D202, TAPPI 548 and TAPPI 815. One sled is supplied at the time of order and is included in the quoted price, additional sleds can be ordered for a modest extra cost. For tests to other standards and for bespoke methods sleds can be manufactured to your requirements.

To perform the test the control knob is rotated smoothly which inclines the plane, the moment the sled starts to move down the plane the knob is released and the friction coefficient is read from the dial.

The inclined plane cof tester comes complete with a sample cutting template and sled to suite your test method.
