Vicat (VST)

VST stands for Vicat Softening Temperature. This method is carried out using VICAT Softening Point Apparatus, which measures the temperature at which a polymer softens enough to allow a flat-ended needle to penetrate it to the depth of 1mm under a set load.

Essential for construction quality control, this precision instrument is commonly used to measure the setting time and consistency of cement, lime, and mortar.
