Pressure Calibration & Repair

Pressure calibration service, AML can calibrate a wide range of pressure & vacuum equipment from a traditional pressure gauge to the latest digital pressure gauge or transmitter, (see the table at the bottom of the page showing the typical pressure & vacuum calibrations performed by AML). We use high accuracy Druck & Fluke digital pressure calibration standards using nitrogen or air as the pressure media or our Budenberg dead weight pressure calibrator with oil as the standard pressure medium, we can also use this with any other liquid, such as pure water using our liquid to liquid interface. All our calibration services are completely customisable to your exact requirements, we don’t believe in a one size fits all approach. Pressure gauge calibrations are typically performed to the requirements of BS EN 837-1

Torque Calibration & Repair

Torque calibration is the verification of the accuracy of a torque measuring tool or instrument such as a Torque Wrench or Torque Screwdriver. This can also include the adjustment if necessary of your equipment to ensure it meets the requirements of the relevant standard such as ISO 6789. This type of calibration requires precision torque testing equipment designed to test your equipment. Our calibration services give you peace of mind by assessing the accuracy of and quality of your equipment. At AML, we have spent decades honing our services to offer calibration and testing of the highest calibre. Leading Torque Calibration Services Our calibration service is competitively priced and can also be provided onsite for your convenience. Our onsite service means the absolute minimum disruption to your quality and inspection department. AML can calibrate a wide range of torque equipment, (see table at the bottom of the page), using the latest Norbar calibration equipment. Our approach ensures the highest possible accuracy of calibrations. The most common torque calibrations are the torque wrench calibration service we provide and torque screwdrivers. We calibrate 1000’s of these every year. We can also assist with the calibration of damaged, repaired, and improperly handled tools. The engineers are highly trained and experienced torque experts. AML not only provide torque wrench calibration and torque screwdriver calibration but a wide range of specialist torque equipment. AML offers a bespoke service to your exact needs. Torque wrenches and torque screwdrivers are calibrated to the accuracy requirements of ISO 6789

Dimensional Calibration & Repair

Dimensional calibration services, AML calibrates a wide range of dimensional equipment from a humble vernier caliper to a state of the art profiling micrometer with an accuracy of 0.2 microns (see table at bottom of page of typical calibrations performed). Our dimensional calibration service is competitively priced and can also be provided onsite for your convenience. Common dimensional calibrations: calipers, micrometers, steel rules, dial test indicators (DTI’s), screw plug gauge etc AML’s engineers are experienced metrologist with many years of experience in the calibration dimensional equipment. All calibrations are fully traceable to National Standards via a UKAS ISO 17025 laboratory.

Force Calibration Services & Repair

Force calibration service. We offer a range of calibration services for force measuring equipment. Including Universal Testing Machine calibration, Tensile Tester calibration to a simple Force Gauge calibration, (see table at the bottom of the page for typical force calibrations performed). Common force calibrations; Tensile Tester calibration, Materials Testing Machines, Compression Testing Machines and Universal Testing Machines calibration Our force calibrations services can typically be performed on site, we can even calibrate individual load cells onsite using our specialist mobile calibration machine. We believe we are the only company in the UK able to offer the onsite calibration of individual load cells. AML engineers are highly experienced force calibration professionals. All force calibrations fully traceable to National Standards though a UKAS calibration laboratory.

Viscometer Calibration & Repair

We provide viscometer calibration service and are able to calibrate and service a large range of viscometer and flow cup types from most manufacturers. We also offer rotational viscometer calibration, brookfield viscometer calibration service and dip cup calibration. The Brookfield Viscometer calibration service and Sheen Viscometers are the most common viscometers we calibrate but we are by no means limited to just these brands. We undertake a large number of viscosity flow cup calibrations and dip cup calibration from Elcometer, Sheen & QC Labs. As well as offering a viscometer calibration service we can also repair most types and manufactures of viscometer.

Optical Properties Calibration & Repair

Optical properties calibration, the instruments we can calibrate include gloss meters, opacity meters and barcode verifier’s, (a full list of typical optical calibrations as listed at the bottom of the page). Our engineers are factory trained and highly experienced in this specialist field of calibration. They can also offer advice and training. All optical calibrations are traceable to National Standards. We can offer our calibration services either onsite or offsite. Onsite can work out cost effective if you have a few optical instruments or you have other test equipment we could calibrate at the same time. We are the only company in the UK offering onsite glossmeter calibration.

Relative Humidity Meter & Moisture Calibration

All of our relative humidity meter & moisture calibration services are fully traceable to national standards using UKAS calibrated equipment. Our engineers are experienced and qualified RH & moisture calibration experts. AML calibrates a wide range of relative humidity meter & moisture equipment from hand held meters to environmental and climatic chambers, (see table at bottom of page with typical RH calibrations performed). The engineers will also adjust your equipment to bring it back in within specification or provide advice on replacing probes and equipment.

Paper & Packaging Test Equipment Calibration

AML can calibrate one of the widest ranges of test equipment for you’re industry. We have factory trained engineers on hand to calibrate and repair your unique & highly specialised types of test equipment, (see table at bottom of page for typical paper and packaging test equipment calibrations performed). We are the approved European calibration and service centre for a number of leading manufactures of test equipment and instrumentation. Back in 1990 Pira set up a dedicated calibration service for the paper and packaging industries, this was subsequently sold to Hanatek in 2001 and then AML in 2012 this gives us 30 years experience! A significant number of our customers have been with us for over 25 years, this demonstrates our commitment to our customers and we strive the provide the best possible service at all times.

Ink & Paint Test Equipment Calibration

Our ink & paint calibration scope includes, gloss meters, viscometers and rub testers, (at the bottom of this page is a list of the typical ink and paint test equipment calibrations we can perform). Our calibration services are available at your site to minimise the disruption to you testing schedule. We employ experienced calibration engineers with factory training on a wide range of test equipment & instrumentation. We can save you having to get the individual manufactures out to each piece of equipment this will significantly reduce your calibration costs.

Conductivity & pH Calibration Service

Our experienced and trained engineers can calibrate a wide range of conductivity meters & pH meters, both laboratory meters as well as industrial inline probes and meters used in processing / manufacturing chemicals and food stuffs. We will adjust your conductivity meters & pH meters to ensure they will meet your needs we can either use manufactures recommended tolerances or ones suited to your application. If agreed in advance we can provide custom calibration points using specialist standards and buffers. All calibrations traceable to National Standards. Our calibration service is available onsite or offsite. Our engineers will work around your testing schedule to minimise the distribution.
